From 1st to 28th October

Operas, Concerts, Recitals to be held at Teatro Regio in Parma, at Auditorium Paganini in Parma, the Barilla pasta factory converted by the Genoese star architect Renzo Piano into a concert hall, at Teatro Verdi in Busseto and Teatro Magnani in Fidenza.

The 2010 edition of the Festival will be once again an absolute international highlight with famous conductors and singers from all over the world.

The Festival Verdi has recently become one of the most important musical festivals in the world.
Through its history an impressive roll-call of artists have performed there: tenors such as Pertile, Gigli, Corelli, Kraus and Bergonzi; legendary sopranos including Tebaldi, Scotto and Fren; last but not least global operatic celebrities such as Carreras and Pavarotti.

Once a spring event, the Festival has recently been moved to the autumn to coincide with the Maestro's birthday on 10 October.

The whole town becomes part of the Festival with outstanding art exhibitions, events, shows and performances everywhere.
On every day that month there's an event either in Parma itself or in one of the centres related to Verdi: Busseto, Roncole, Reggio Emilia, Fidenza and Modena.

All these make of Parma a place of special and unique wealth within the project linked to Verdi’s BICENTENARY IN 2013.
